April DiChiara
SMA Interim Director

Hi there! My Name is April DiChiara and I am so thankful that Spring Meadows has asked me to be Interim Director for Spring Meadows Academy. Both of my kids attended SMA and I loved being their

music teacher for 7 years.

I also serve as the Director of Spring Meadows School of the Arts and have done so for 5 years.

I am so thankful to be joining these wonderful teachers and can't wait to get to know all of our SMA families. SMA has an outstanding reputation in the community and I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful school.

A little more about me. I am a Louisiana native but I've lived in Tennessee for almost 20 years. I transferred from LSU to Belmont where I got my Bachelors in Arts and minor in music business.

My husband is a special ops paramedic for Nashville Fire and we have two children, Sophia (14) and Tag (11). We love to travel in our RV and since 2020 we have traveled to 45 states.

    Jessica Buford
    Office Assistant

Hello! I’m Jessica Buford. This is my second year as SMA staff, but my children have been part of the SMA family for four years!

I feel incredibly blessed to be joining the amazing teachers and staff this year. I cannot wait to meet you all and get to know and love your students. SMA holds such a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to witness your kiddos growing, learning and hearing all about how much our mighty God loves them!

A little about me—I am a Williamson County native. I was born and raised in Franklin. I graduated from MTSU with a Bachelors in Marketing and minors in public relations and speech. My husband, Cody, two daughters, puppy, Arlo, and myself live in Thompson’s Station on a cattle farm! My daughters Lynlee (7) and Caroline (4) keep us busy with softball and gymnastics.

      Jerry Elder
      Chapel Leader

Jerry Elder is our youth minister at Spring Meadows Church of Christ. Jerry leads chapel at SMA twice per week at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Jerry has a joyful and energetic spirit. He teaches our children to focus on serving others and engage with one another. To say that he has a plethora of experience is an understatement.

Jerry has served as a youth minister for forty years now! Children of all ages love him and many form a bond that continues into adulthood. There are “Jerry’s Kids” all over middle Tennessee and beyond!

We know your children will be blessed by their time with him.
